Our Founder

Marcus Gustafsson is originally from Uppsala, Sweden, but came over to get an education while playing ice hockey in college for the University of Maine.

After graduating in 1999 with a Finance degree and a NCAA National Championship ring he did pursue his dream of playing professional hockey for one season with Syracuse Crunch, Vancouver Canucks & New Orleans Brass.  It was in New Orleans he was introduced to the President of a Brokerage Firm and his second career was started as an intern in the afternoons while practicing hockey in the mornings. 

Gustafsson Wealth Management was founded when Marcus moved to Alpharetta, Georgia from New Orleans in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina.

Marcus now resides in Midtown, Atlanta and he enjoys spending time with friends & family, watching/coaching hockey and playing golf.  He is a proud father of Emma, a recent Univ of GA grad and Lukas, currently at Boston College.

 Both ice hockey & experiencing a hurricane have provided plenty of life- & investing lessons that Marcus uses every day when helping clients optimize their financial lives.
